CVE-2016-9599 is an access-control flaw in puppet-tripleo versions prior to 5.5.0 and 6.2.0, affecting OpenStack and Red Hat OpenStack deployments. This vulnerability allowed the creation of TCP/UDP IPtables rules with empty port values. With SSL enabled, a malicious authenticated user could exploit these open ports to gain unauthorized access to resources, leading to high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
