CVE-2016-7382 is a missing permissions check vulnerability in the kernel mode layer of NVIDIA GPU Display Drivers (nvlddmkm.sys for Windows or nvidia.ko for Linux), affecting NVIDIA Quadro, NVS, GeForce, and Tesla products. This flaw allows a local attacker to gain access to arbitrary physical memory, leading to an escalation of privileges. With a CVSS v3 score of 7.8 (High), the vulnerability is easily exploitable by a low-privileged local user with no user interaction, resulting in high impact to confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
