CVE-2016-6261 is an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the idna_to_ascii_4i function of libidn before version 1.33, affecting various distributions including Canonical, GNU, and OpenSUSE. This high-severity vulnerability (CVSS 7.5) allows unauthenticated, remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) with low attack complexity by providing 64 bytes of input.
