CVE-2016-10551 is a critical SQL injection vulnerability affecting waterline-sequel versions 0.50 and earlier, a module used by Waterline applications to generate SQL statements. Malicious user input supplied to Waterline's 'like', 'contains', 'startsWith', or 'endsWith' functions can be directly executed as SQL, granting full database access. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (Critical), this vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to compromise systems with high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
