CVE-2015-5723 describes a local privilege escalation vulnerability affecting multiple Doctrine Project components (Annotations, Cache, Common, ORM, MongoDB ODM, and MongoDB ODM Bundle) as well as Debian and Zend products. The vulnerability stems from world-writable permissions on cache directories, allowing a local attacker to execute arbitrary PHP code with elevated privileges if the application uses a umask of 0 and executes cache entries as code. Rated High severity (CVSS 7.8), this flaw has a low attack complexity and can lead to high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
