CVE-2015-4974 describes a local privilege escalation vulnerability affecting IBM General Parallel File System (GPFS) versions 3.5.x before 3.5.0.27 and 4.1.x before 4.1.1.2, as well as Spectrum Scale 4.1.1.x before 4.1.1.2. A local attacker can exploit this flaw to gain root privileges and execute arbitrary commands.
