FAUCET Score

CVE-2015-2463 is a critical TrueType Font Parsing Vulnerability affecting numerous Microsoft products, including various Windows versions, Office suites, Lync, Silverlight, and .NET Framework. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by enticing a user to open a specially crafted TrueType font file. With a CVSS score of 9.3, it presents a high risk due to its network-based attack vector, medium attack complexity, and complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. While not actively exploited in the wild (no KEV entry), public exploit code exists, such as an ExploitDB entry for a win32k.sys out-of-bounds pool memory access. Despite the availability of exploit code, there is minimal community discussion or media coverage surrounding this CVE.
