CVE-2015-1772 describes an authentication bypass vulnerability in the LDAP implementation of HiveServer2 in Apache Hive versions prior to 1.0.1 and 1.1.1, as well as IBM InfoSphere BigInsights. This flaw allows remote attackers to bypass authentication through crafted LDAP requests when simple unauthenticated or anonymous bind configurations are used. With a CVSS v3 score of 7.3 (High), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, potentially leading to limited impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
