CVE-2014-5434 describes a critical vulnerability in the Baxter SIGMA Spectrum Infusion System (version 6.05 with WBM version 16) involving a hard-coded default account accessible via FTP. This flaw, rated 9.8 CVSS, allows unauthenticated remote attackers to achieve full compromise (confidentiality, integrity, availability) of the device. Despite its high severity, there is no known public exploit code, active exploitation, or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability. Baxter has since released Version 8 of the system, which incorporates hardware and software changes to address such issues.
