CVE-2014-3788 describes a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the Web Server component of Cogent Real-Time Systems Cogent DataHub versions prior to 7.3.5. This flaw allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by sending a specially crafted request containing a negative value in the Content-Length field. With a CVSS score of 7.5 (High), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network without authentication, potentially leading to partial compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its severity, there is no evidence of active exploitation, publicly available exploit code, or significant community discussion or media coverage.
