CVE-2014-3020 describes a local privilege escalation vulnerability in the install.sh script of IBM Embedded WebSphere Application Server (eWAS) 7.0 before FP33, as used in IBM Tivoli Integrated Portal (TIP) 2.1 and 2.2. The script incorrectly sets world-writable permissions for the installRoot directory tree, allowing local attackers to introduce malicious programs. With a CVSS score of 6.9 (AV:L/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C), this flaw has high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability, but requires local access and medium attack complexity.
