This flaw allows remote attackers to trigger excessive resource consumption by sending specially crafted, compressed XML elements in an XMPP stream, a technique known as an "xmppbomb" attack. With a CVSS score of 7.8 (High), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, leading to a complete loss of availability.
