CVE-2014-0107 describes a vulnerability in Apache Xalan-Java before version 2.7.2 and Oracle Xalan-Java, also affecting Apache and Oracle WebCenter Sites. The TransformerFactory fails to adequately restrict property access even when FEATURE_SECURE_PROCESSING is enabled, allowing remote attackers to bypass security measures. This flaw enables the loading of arbitrary classes or access to external resources through specially crafted XSLT properties or Java properties bound to the XSLT 1.0 system-property function. With a CVSS score of 7.5 (High), the vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, potentially leading to partial confidentiality, integrity, and availability impacts. There is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
