CVE-2013-7252

CVE-2013-7252 describes a vulnerability in kwalletd, a component of KWallet in KDE Applications prior to version 14.12.0. The vulnerability stems from its use of Blowfish encryption in Electronic Codebook (ECB) mode instead of the more secure Cipher Block Chaining (CBC) mode for password store encryption. This configuration makes the password store susceptible to a codebook attack, allowing attackers to more easily guess passwords.
