CVE-2013-6765 describes an authentication bypass vulnerability in OpenVAS Manager versions 3.0 prior to 3.0.7 and 4.0 prior to 4.0.4. This flaw allows remote, unauthenticated attackers to execute OMP commands by sending a specially crafted OMP request for version information, which incorrectly authenticates the client. With a CVSS score of 7.5 (High), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, potentially leading to partial confidentiality, integrity, and availability compromise.
