CVE-2013-1768 describes a critical vulnerability in Apache OpenJPA versions 1.x before 1.2.3 and 2.x before 2.2.2. This flaw allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by crafting serialized OpenJPA objects, which leads to the creation of executable JSP files containing sensitive logging data during deserialization. With a CVSS score of 7.5, this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity and no authentication required, potentially leading to compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
