CVE-2012-4660 describes a denial-of-service vulnerability in the SIP inspection engine of Cisco ASA 5500 series devices and ASASM modules running specific software versions. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can trigger a device reload by sending a specially crafted SIP media-update packet. With a CVSS score of 7.8 (High), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, leading to a complete loss of availability.
