CVE-2012-3137 is a "stealth password cracking vulnerability" affecting Oracle Database Server versions 10.2.0.3 through 11.2.0.3, and Oracle Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management. This flaw in the authentication protocol allows remote attackers to obtain session keys and salts for any user, thereby exposing cryptographic hash information. With a CVSS score of 6.4, this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network without authentication, enabling brute-force password guessing. While not actively exploited in the wild (no KEV entry), a public exploit (EDB-22069) exists, yet it has garnered minimal community discussion or media coverage.
