CVE-2012-2442

CVE-2012-2442 describes a buffer overflow vulnerability in the Video Manager component of Nokia PC Suite versions 7.1.180.64 and earlier. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this by enticing a user to open a specially crafted MP4 file, leading to a denial of service. While the CVSS score is moderate at 4.3, indicating a low impact of partial availability, its FAUCET Risk Score is high at 89/100. Although not listed in CISA's KEV catalog, public exploit code exists on ExploitDB, but there is no evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion surrounding this decade-old vulnerability.
