24
FAUCET Score

CVE-2011-2704 describes a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in MapServer versions prior to 4.10.7 and 5.x before 5.6.7, affecting both OSGeo and UMN MapServer products. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through specially crafted OGC filter encoding. With a CVSS score of 7.5, it is considered highly severe due to its network-based attack vector, low attack complexity, and potential for partial compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its severity, there is no evidence of active exploitation, no known public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), and minimal community discussion or media coverage.
