CVE-2011-1655 describes a critical information disclosure vulnerability in the Management Web Service of CA Total Defense r12 before SE2. The management.asmx module inadvertently sends cleartext database credentials in response to getDBConfigSettings requests, allowing remote attackers to intercept this sensitive information via network sniffing. With a CVSS score of 7.5, this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low complexity, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution due to compromised database access.
