CVE-2011-1265

28
FAUCET Score

CVE-2011-1265 is a critical vulnerability in the Bluetooth Stack 2.1 of Microsoft Windows Vista and Windows 7, allowing remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. This high-severity flaw (CVSS 8.8) stems from improper memory handling, where the Bluetooth stack fails to prevent access to uninitialized or deleted memory objects. An attacker could exploit this by sending specially crafted Bluetooth packets, leading to complete compromise of the affected system. Despite its severity, there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this decade-old vulnerability.
