CVE-2010-3444 describes a buffer overflow vulnerability in the log2vis_utf8 function within GNU FriBidi versions 0.19.1 and 0.19.2, as well as PyFriBidi 0.10.1. This flaw allows remote attackers to trigger a denial of service or potentially execute arbitrary code by supplying a specially crafted Arabic UTF-8 string that expands 2-byte sequences into 3-byte sequences. With a CVSS score of 7.5, this vulnerability is considered highly severe, requiring no authentication and low attack complexity.
