CVE-2010-0228 describes a vulnerability in Verbatim Corporate Secure and Corporate Secure FIPS Edition USB flash drives. These devices utilize a fixed 256-bit key for accessing drive contents, making it susceptible to attack. An attacker with physical access can easily determine and use this key to read or modify data, resulting in a low-complexity attack with partial confidentiality, integrity, and availability impacts (CVSS 4.6). There is no known active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage surrounding this vulnerability.
