It stems from improper parsing of malformed headers in Advanced Systems Format (ASF) files, enabling remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via specially crafted .asf, .wmv, or .wma files. With a CVSS score of 9.3, this vulnerability is highly severe, allowing for complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability with medium attack complexity and no authentication required.
