CVE-2009-1139

38
FAUCET Score

CVE-2009-1139 describes a memory leak vulnerability in the LDAP service of Active Directory on Windows 2000 SP4 and Server 2003 SP2, and Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM) on Windows XP SP2/SP3 and Server 2003 SP2. This flaw allows unauthenticated remote attackers to trigger a denial of service by sending specially crafted LDAP or LDAPS requests with unspecified OID filters, leading to excessive memory consumption and service outages. With a CVSS score of 7.8 (High) and a FAUCET Risk Score of 97/100, its severity is critical due to its network-based attack vector, low attack complexity, and complete availability impact. Despite its high severity, there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
