CVE-2009-0840 describes a critical heap-based buffer underflow in the readPostBody function of MapServer versions 4.x before 4.10.4 and 5.x before 5.2.2. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to achieve a complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability by sending a negative Content-Length HTTP header. With a CVSS score of 10.0, it is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity and no authentication required.
