CVE-2008-5902 describes a buffer overflow vulnerability in the xrdp_bitmap_invalidate function within xrdp/xrdp_bitmap.c, affecting xrdp versions 0.4.1 and earlier. This flaw allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through a specially crafted request. With a CVSS score of 7.5, it is considered highly severe, enabling complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability with low attack complexity and no authentication required. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, and no public exploit code is available in Metasploit, Nuclei, or ExploitDB, though it has received minimal community discussion.
