This flaw allows user-assisted attackers to trigger a denial of service or potentially execute arbitrary code by supplying a specially crafted Color Mapping (.cmap) file containing an excessively long mapping reference. With a CVSS score of 9.3 (Critical), the vulnerability is remotely exploitable with medium attack complexity, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
