CVE-2008-3280 describes a critical vulnerability affecting various OpenID Providers (OPs) whose TLS Server Certificates were generated with weak keys due to the Debian Predictable Random Number Generator (CVE-2008-0166). This flaw, combined with DNS Cache Poisoning (CVE-2008-1447) and the widespread failure of SSL/TLS implementations to consult Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs), renders these OPs unreliable. With a CVSS score of 5.9 (Medium), the vulnerability has a network attack vector and high impact on confidentiality, but requires high attack complexity.
