CVE-2008-3209 describes a heap-based buffer overflow in the BiGif.dll component of Black Ice Document Imaging SDK 10.95. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by providing a specially crafted long string to the GetNumberOfImagesInGifFile method of the BIImgFrm Control ActiveX control. With a CVSS score of 9.3, this critical vulnerability has a network-based attack vector, medium attack complexity, and results in complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
