CVE-2008-2474 describes a critical buffer overflow vulnerability in ABB Process Communication Unit 400 (PCU400) versions 4.4 through 4.6. This flaw allows unauthenticated remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by sending specially crafted packets to the X87 web interface via either the IEC60870-5-101 or IEC60870-5-104 communication protocols. With a CVSS score of 10.0, this vulnerability presents a severe risk, enabling complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
