CVE-2008-1335 describes a critical vulnerability in the ipsec4_get_ulp function within the NetBSD kernel (versions 2.0 through 3.1 and NetBSD-current before 20071028) when the fast_ipsec subsystem is enabled. This flaw allows remote attackers to bypass IPsec policy by exploiting differences in endianness between source and destination machines. With a CVSS score of 9.3 (Critical), this vulnerability has a high attack complexity but allows for complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
