CVE-2008-0107

39
FAUCET Score

CVE-2008-0107 describes an integer underflow vulnerability in multiple versions of Microsoft SQL Server and related database engines, including MSDE and WYukon. This flaw allows authenticated remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by supplying a specially crafted record size value within an on-disk file (e.g., a backup file) via SMB or WebDAV, leading to a heap-based buffer overflow. With a CVSS score of 9.0 (Critical), the vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, granting full confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact. Despite its high severity and EPSS score, there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
