CVE-2008-0064

24
FAUCET Score

CVE-2008-0064 describes a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability affecting XnView 1.91 and 1.92, NConvert 4.85, and libgfl280.dll in GFL SDK 2.870. This critical flaw allows user-assisted remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through a specially crafted Radiance RGBE (.hdr) file. With a CVSS score of 9.3, it poses a high risk due to its network attack vector, medium attack complexity, and complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its severity, there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
