CVE-2007-5742 describes a directory traversal vulnerability in the WML engine preprocessor of Wesnoth versions 1.2.x before 1.2.8 and 1.3.x before 1.3.12. This flaw allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files on the system by using ".." sequences in unknown vectors. With a CVSS score of 9.0, this vulnerability is considered critical, enabling unauthenticated attackers to achieve partial confidentiality, partial integrity, and complete availability impact.
