CVE-2007-3762

25
FAUCET Score

CVE-2007-3762 is a critical stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the IAX2 channel driver (chan_iax2) of Asterisk and related products, including AsteriskNOW and s800i. This flaw allows unauthenticated remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by sending a specially crafted, long voice or video RTP frame. With a CVSS score of 9.3, it represents a severe risk due to its network-based attack vector, medium attack complexity, and complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its age and high severity, there is no evidence of active exploitation, publicly available exploit code in Metasploit or ExploitDB, or significant community discussion or media coverage.
