CVE-2007-2863 describes a critical stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the Anti-Virus engine of various CA (now Broadcom) products, including BrightStor ARCserve Backup and Anti-Virus for the Enterprise, affecting versions before content update 30.6. This flaw allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by supplying a specially crafted .CAB file containing an excessively long filename.
