CVE-2007-0931

21
FAUCET Score

CVE-2007-0931 describes a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability affecting the management interfaces of Aruba Mobility Controllers (200, 800, 2400, 6000 series) and Alcatel-Lucent OmniAccess Wireless devices (43xx, 6000 series). This flaw allows unauthenticated remote attackers to trigger a denial of service by crashing processes, and potentially execute arbitrary code, through the submission of excessively long credential strings. With a CVSS score of 7.5, this vulnerability is considered highly severe due to its network-based attack vector and low attack complexity, enabling partial confidentiality, integrity, and availability impacts. Despite its age and severity, there is no evidence of active exploitation, publicly available exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
