CVE-2006-6605

27
FAUCET Score

CVE-2006-6605 describes a critical stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the POP service of MailEnable Standard (1.98 and earlier), Professional (1.84, 2.35 and earlier), and Enterprise (1.41, 2.35 and earlier before ME-10026). This flaw allows unauthenticated remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by sending a specially crafted, long argument to the PASS command. With a CVSS score of 10.0, the vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with no authentication, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its high severity and EPSS score, there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
