CVE-2006-6235 is a critical stack overwrite vulnerability affecting GnuPG 1.x before 1.4.6, 2.x before 2.0.2, and 1.9.0 through 1.9.95, as well as various distributions like Red Hat and Ubuntu. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary code remotely by sending specially crafted OpenPGP packets that cause the software to dereference deallocated stack memory. With a CVSS score of 10.0, it represents a severe risk with complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its high severity, there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
