CVE-2006-3311 describes a buffer overflow vulnerability in Adobe Flash Player 8.0.24.0 and earlier versions, as well as Flash Professional 8, Flash MX 2004, and Flex 1.5. This flaw allows user-assisted remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by supplying a long, dynamically created string within a SWF movie. With a CVSS score of 5.1, this vulnerability has a high attack complexity and could lead to partial confidentiality, integrity, and availability impacts. There is no evidence of active exploitation, and no public exploit code or significant community discussion has been identified.
