CVE-2006-2021 describes an absolute path traversal vulnerability in the Asterisk Recording Interface (ARI) web interface of Asterisk@Home versions prior to 2.8. This flaw allows unauthenticated remote attackers to read arbitrary MP3, WAV, and GSM files by providing a full pathname in the 'recording' parameter, and can also be used to determine file existence. With a CVSS score of 5.0, this vulnerability is of medium severity, requiring no authentication and low attack complexity to achieve partial confidentiality impact.
