CVE-2005-0519 describes a critical arbitrary file read vulnerability in ArGoSoft FTP Server versions prior to 1.4.2.7. Attackers can exploit this by uploading a ZIP file containing a shortcut (.LNK) file, then using the SITE UNZIP command to extract it, subsequently accessing arbitrary files on the server. With a CVSS score of 10.0, this vulnerability presents a severe risk, allowing for complete confidentiality, integrity, and availability compromise with low attack complexity and no authentication required.
