CVE-2004-0928 describes an authentication bypass vulnerability in the Microsoft IIS Connector for JRun 4.0 and Macromedia ColdFusion MX 6.0, 6.1, and 6.1 J2EE, affecting products from Hitachi and Macromedia. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this by appending ";.cfm" to an HTTP request, allowing them to view sensitive source files like .asp, .pl, and .php. With a CVSS score of 5.0 (AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low complexity, leading to partial confidentiality impact. Despite its age and an EPSS score indicating a higher-than-average likelihood of exploitation, there is no known active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage surrounding this CVE.
