CVE-2004-0742 describes a critical vulnerability in Sun Java System Portal Server 6.2 (formerly Sun ONE) and Sun Java System Calendar Server. Remote authenticated users can exploit this flaw by manipulating display options to gain elevated Calendar Server privileges, enabling unauthorized modification of calendar data. With a CVSS score of 10.0 (AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with no authentication required, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its high severity and age, there is no public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB) and no evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion.
