CVE-2002-1820

24
FAUCET Score

CVE-2002-1820 describes a critical vulnerability in Ultimate PHP Board (UPB) versions 1.0 and 1.0b, where an attacker can impersonate the administrative account. This is due to the system differentiating between "Admin" and "admin," allowing a remote attacker to register a lowercase "admin" account and gain administrative privileges. With a CVSS score of 9.8, this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its critical severity, there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
