CVE-2001-0775 describes a buffer overflow vulnerability in xloadimage 4.1 (also known as xli 1.16 and 1.17) on Linux systems. This flaw allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by supplying a specially crafted FACES format image containing an excessively long Firstname or Lastname field. With a CVSS score of 7.5 (High), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, potentially leading to full compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
