CVE-2001-0645 describes a critical vulnerability in Symantec/AXENT NetProwler 3.5.x, where the product shipped with multiple default passwords. This flaw allows remote attackers to gain unauthorized access to the management tier using a hardcoded "admin" password or connect to a MySQL ODBC from the management tier with a blank password. With a CVSS score of 7.5 (HIGH), the vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, potentially leading to full compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
