CVE-2000-0320 describes a denial-of-service vulnerability in Qpopper versions 2.53 and 3.0, as well as related Qualcomm and Sun Cobalt RaQ products. The flaw arises from improper handling of the newline character in messages, allowing a remote, unauthenticated attacker to disrupt service or corrupt mailboxes by sending a specially crafted 1023-character message line ending in a newline. Rated as Medium severity (CVSS 5.0), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity and no authentication required, leading to partial availability impact.
